As many may already know, CMS is transiting most Texas providers from Trailblazer to Novitas Solutions, Inc. (Novitas) as part of the MAC JH transition. With this transition, Novitas requires new Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) form (CMS-588) be completed and submitted for ALL practices and providers. A notice should arrive to the providers during the week of July 27, 2012. This notice is important because failure to complete an updated CMS-588 for Novitas will result in claims denials and payment disruption. Therefore, all providers that are currently enrolled for EFT with TrailBlazer should be on the lookout for the notice requesting a new CMS-588 EFT Authorization Agreement.
Providers should not be required to complete a new CMS-855 Enrollment form as part of this process. However, Novitas has requested that if the provider does not receive a notice within approximately 7 days of the mail dates (July 27, 2012 for Texas providers) then the provider should call 1-877-235-8073. Also, Novitas is advising providers to write “JH Transition” at the top of the form for easier identification.
