Emerging Issues in Healthcare Law is coming to the Big Easy. The American Bar Association’s 18th annual conference is slated for New Orleans March 8-11.

Husch Blackwell is a platinum sponsor of this event featuring the most emergent topics facing the healthcare bar. As the industry faces changes and continues to grow under healthcare reform and enforcement, this conference allows attendees a perfect opportunity to stay ahead of the developments.

“EMI offers something for every healthcare attorney, whether you’re just starting practice or have been in the field for decades,” said Husch Blackwell Partner Diane Carter, EMI 2017 Planning co-chair. “From the education, to the networking, the agenda, we have you covered.”

The conference kicks off with the Cancer Legal Advocacy Workshop on March 8. The workshop focuses on insurance coverage, payment, treatment, employment, family, mental health and end-of-life issues.

The program also covers ethics, MACRA, telemedicine, marijuana, healthcare reform, fraud and abuse, long-term care and litigation issues.

In addition to the 19.5 hours of CLE, the meeting includes the Annual EMI Breast Cancer Fun Run/Walk and the 18th Annual Margarita Cup Golf Tournament.
